It is called freedom of speech. Obama, even when he is president, can't stop these organizations from saying what they want. He can dissociate himself from them and make it known that he doesn't approve of their actions but that's it. Now Bush might make some sort of illegal law (just like his wire-tapping) or illegally go to war against them but any person in their right mind wouldn't.
MoveOn.org %26amp; the DailyKos are not official appendages to the Obama campaign. Obama probably did ask them to stop, and they decided not to listen. Obama is too busy campaigning against McCain to focus on those two organizations' behavior. Besides, McCain doesn't seem to care about conservative organizations using attacks he personally disagrees with.
Get real I don't recall McCain telling anyone Obama is a christian and the Muslim stuff was off limits, or the birth certificate stuff, the ayers stuff, or Michelle was off limits at any time, at least Obama did appeal to people not to make the campaign about anything other than issues. When I went to the DailyKos just to see what it was all about, it left me feeling dirty. Is this universal?
I spent about 15 minutes there and read two or three articles and found myself wondering, ';Does ANYONE actually believe this stuff?
The part which truly amazed me was how bitter and hateful they are...all while having the temerity to call conservatives the hateful ones.When I went to the DailyKos just to see what it was all about, it left me feeling dirty. Is this universal?

You need to read some new blogs, and you also need to read things more carefully, not just the headlines! The ';New Ledger'; apparently likes to take things seriously out of context. If you actually read it, they said there would not be as good of a turnout of minorities for the 2010 election. That's likely going to be the case...Obama really rocked the minority vote and brought minorities out in record numbers, highly unusual. The Hispanic and Black communities are also heavily Christian, and their churches encouraged them to vote for Prop. 8, trying to incite ire that the GLBT community was comparing their human rights struggles to those of minorities. The comparisons are valid, but they tick off many blacks and Hispanics.
Are you really surprised by this. Liberals are agenda driven and the agenda trumps all other considerations. I have always viewed the liberals like warring tribes. They may come together for brief periods to fight what they consider to a greater enemy, but once that battle is won they expect their agenda to be first and foremost. They will not stand for anything which they feel threatens that agenda. Just wait you are going to see more of this with the Democrats holding such a majority. If they feel they are not being addressed, or even suppressed they will become more and more vocal and vicious. I am waiting for the war protesters to re-emerge since Obama is making no headway on ending the wars. Then will come the environmental groups when Cap and Trade fails to pass. All this does is just illustrate what many already understand.
